UK woman got pregnant without having penetrative sex

New Delhi : A woman living in Portsmouth, Hampshire, UK, who never had sex has shared how she discovered she was pregnant – despite still being a virgin. Nicole, 28, has told how she became pregnant 8 years ago without having sex.

According to DailyMail’s report, Nicole was dating her boyfriend when she was 18 years old. One day while working in the office, suddenly Nicole started getting dizzy. Nicole was advised by her friend to do a pregnancy test.

Nicole’s pregnancy test came positive and knowing this, she was shocked. The reason was that Nicole was a virgin and never had a physical relationship with her boyfriend. Nicole was suffering from vaginismus – a condition which causes the vaginal wall muscles to involuntarily constrict – and was never able to insert a tampon, have a pap smear or have sex.

Nicole said, ‘I couldn’t even use tampons. Despite trying a lot, we were never able to have sex because I used to have severe pain during this time. I could not understand what was the reason behind this. I also met the doctor at that time and after the checkup, he also said that everything is fine.’

Nicole said that she and her boyfriend tried many ways to get intimate. She revealed nurses who didn’t know about her condition wouldn’t believe her when she said she had never had sex, but after seeking a second opinion it was confirmed that while rare, it is possible to get pregnant without having penetrative intercourse if the sexual activity introduced fluids to the vaginal area. However this happens in very rare cases and Nicole’s case was one of them.

Nicole was also worried that her boyfriend would doubt her after hearing the news of pregnancy. However, this did not happen and he supported Nicole throughout her pregnancy.

Nicole said, ‘My boyfriend used to go with me to meet the doctor at every appointment so that he can also tell the doctor that we have not really had sex. During routine checkup in the fourth month of pregnancy, when the doctor told me about vaginismus, I found it on Google. Eventually I realised that there is nothing wrong in this and this is just a medical condition of mine.’

After finding out the disease, Nicole met a vaginismus therapist and with her help, she was able to come out of this. However, Nicole and her boyfriend are no longer together, but Nicole has now recovered to a great extent from her illness.

Nicole said, ‘My daughter is like a miracle to me. Many people still call me ‘Virgin Mary’ and it makes me laugh a lot.’ Nicole’s sex life is normal now, but this story of her pregnancy still surprises people.
