Two persons arrested, cannabis worth Rs 16 lakh seized

Pune : NpNews24 Online  – Pune Crime | The Anti-Narcotics Cell of Pune Police Crime Branch has arrested two persons who came to sell Charas drugs in Pune. Around 1.88 kg of charas worth Rs 16.32 lakh has been seized from their possession. The action was taken on Monday at Tadiwala Road. (Pune Crime)

 

Amir Masiullah Khan (24) from Uttar Pradesh, Atul Gautam Wankhede (22) from Khamgaon have been arrested. An FIR has been registered against them at the Bund Garden Police Station under the NDPS Act.

 

Police officers and personnel of the Anti-Narcotics Squad were patrolling within the Bund Garden Police Station limits. The two persons were sitting suspiciously on a KTM bike at Tadiwala Road. When they were detained and searched, 1.88 kgs of charas worth Rs 16.32 was found. The police seized charas, the two-wheeler worth Rs 1.50 lakh, two mobile phones worth Rs 20,000 and other material amounting to Rs 18.2 lakh from the accused. During interrogation, both admitted to possessing charas for sale.

This action was taken by a team comprising Police Inspector Sunil Thopte, PSI Digambar Chavan, SD Narke, police officers Santosh Deshpande, Yuvraj Kamble, Yogesh Mandre, Sandeep Jadhav, Chetan Gaikwad, Nitin Jagdale, Sahil Sheikh, Azim Sheikh, Disha Khewalkar and Dinesh Bastewad under the guidance of CP Retesh Kumaarr, joint CP Sandeep Karnik, Add CP Ramnath Pokle, DCP Amol Zende, Assistant Commissioner of Police Crime-1 ACP Narayan Shirgaonkar.
