Two minor girls gangraped in Hinjewadi of which one died while in coma

In a shocking incident, two minor girls were allegedly gangraped and sexually abuse in Hinjewadi by a man and his minor accomplice. The incident took place behind a temple on Sunday while undergoing treatment on Wednesday one of the victim died.

According to First Information Report (FIR) registered with Hinjewadi police station under Pimpri-Chinchwad police commissionerate, both the girls aged about 12 years group had visited to a temple on festive occassion on Sunday.

The suspected arrested person lured them with some sweet and took them behind the temple and then gangraped and sexually abused them in the bushes released them after threatening to kill them.

They threatened them of dire consequences if they revealed the incident to anyone.

However , one of the girls informed her parents and the incident came to light on Wednesday. The condition of one of the deteriorated and she was rushed to Sassoon General hospital was in coma and later Wednesday evening she died.

After getting information, police nabbed the suspect who works se labourer with a factory. The police arrested accused who has been identified as Ganesh Nikam and a minor boy have also detained.

Considering the seriousness of the case, senior officers including police commissioner Padmanabhan visited the spot in Hinjewadi and monitoring the case investigation. Duo has been booked under the relevant sections of Indian Penal Code as well as Protection of Children From Sexual Offence Act.
