Two dies on the spot in horrific road accident on Mumbai-Agra highway

Malegaon / Nashik: Two people died on the spot in a gruesome accident on the Mumbai-Agra highway. The accident occurred on the highway near the Chalisgaon crossing. The high speed Eicher truck (MH18BG0117) hit the two-wheeler (MH19DA4352). The accident was so severe that the young man and the woman on the bike died on the spot.

The deceased’s name is Pankaj Muralidhar Patil (25, Pimpri, Ta. Chalisgaon). While the girl has not been identified yet. Fearing of being beaten by the mob after the accident, the truck driver Dronagiri Gosavi (resident of Awadhan, Dhule district) stopped at some distance from the accident site. He has been taken into custody by the Taluka Police. Police has reached the spot as soon as the news of the accident is received.

The number plate of the bike has been completely damaged in the accident. The police matched the number plates and obtained information through the sub-regional transport department. Mobile phone was recovered from the scene. After which only Pankaj was identified. Chandrabhan Patil, the brother of the deceased, said that Pankaj was unmarried. Then who was the girl with him? Police are engaged in identifying the girl.

On receiving the information of the incident, the team of Police Inspector Devidas Dhumane, Kailas Gujar, Sachin Devi, Akshay Patil, Sharad Mogal and the rest reached the spot.
