TV actress Prachi Tehlan molested and beaten up in Delhi

New Delhi : TV actress Prachi Tehlan, who plays Arzoo Rathi in the Diya Aur Baati Hum has been molested and beaten up in the capital Delhi. Four youths in a drunken state chased her and abused when she reached her apartment with her husband. The police arrested all four youths on Prachi’s complaint. Medical examination has confirmed that the youths were drunk.

Delhi Police have registered an FIR against four persons for allegedly chasing TV actress Prachi Tehlan's car and abusing her in Rohini area on Feb 1 night. The accused were in an inebriated condition at the time of the incident, as per the FIR.

According to the police, the arrested accused are Kashish Madan, Ashish, Akshay Kapoor and Chirag Budhiraj, residents of Pitampura. Their car has been seized. In a complaint to the police, actress Prachi Tehlan said that she lives in Rohini Sector-14 with husband Rohit Saroha. She has been a national level basketball player.

Late on Sunday, she was returning from her maternal uncle’s home in Rupnagar with her husband when they were chased by a car near Maharaja Agrasen International School in Pitampura. The driver suddenly stopped the car and he did not move the car despite loud honking. When her husband somehow overtook them, youths in the car started chasing them.

When she reached her apartment, the four youths entered and started misbehaving. They also abused the couple. Prachi said that the accused were following them from 6 km.

Prachi and her husband were beaten up by them in the society’s parking lot. All four youths abused Prachi and uttered abusive words. Although there was a huge crowd there, nobody was daring to help seeing the aggressive attitude of youths. Meanwhile Prachi somehow left and went to her flat. Even then, the young men chased and knocked on the door of the flat and asked her to come out. Prachi then called PCR and reported the incident.
