This is BJP’s Kasba, says Devendra Fadnavis

State Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, along with senior BJP leaders, are campaigning in the town. On Thursday, DCM Devendra Fadnavis held a road show to campaign for Hemant Rasane. In the meeting held on this occasion, he severely criticised the Congress, the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP). DCM Devendra Fadnavis, Guardian Minister Chandrakant Patil, BJP State President Chandrashekhar Bawankule, Ramdas Athawale, Harshvardhan Patil, Kunal Tilak and a large number of BJP office-bearers and activists participated in this roadshow.
Devendra Fadnavis said many attempts were made to spread misinformation in the Kasba Peth bypoll Election. Various communities are said to be upset, but there is nothing like that. Kasaba is a Hindu bastion, it is Chhatrapati Shivaji’s Pune. This is BJP’s Kasba, Bapat has built the Kasba Constituency. Fadnavis claimed that the Congress candidate will be defeated here.
“Looking at Girish Bapat, one can realise what a BJP worker is like. Even when he was ill, he held meetings for the party. Now, we have to vote for Hemant Rasane on Feb 26 and win this election. Fadnavis alleged that the opposition has tried to create many narratives in this election.
Fadnavis further said, only rumors are being created that the Brahmin community is upset. Ask the Congress candidate’s stance on Puneshwar Mahadev. In this election, votes are being polarised by the Congress and the NCP.
Communal statement made in meeting of Pawar
“Sharad Pawar held a meeting yesterday. A leader in his meeting said, to defeat Modi and RSS, we will bring Muslims from all over the country, even dead Muslims will come. Such a communal statement was made in Pawar’s meeting,” said Devendra Fadnavis, appealing to the voters in the Kasba bye-election to vote for Rasane.
