Thief snatches phone from a person outside a pan shop in Solapur; police deny to lodge a complaint

A video of thief stealing a mobile phone from a passerby in Solapur has surfaced on the internet. This incident took place within the limits of Chawdi Police Station.

According to the video, the person was sitting outside a Pan shop watching something on his mobile phone. Meanwhile, the thief is seen standing and spectating at the person. In the next few moments, the thief snatches the mobile phone from the man’s hands and runs away.

The pan shop owner was also seen to be running behind the thief. But by then, the thief had escaped on a two-wheeler. All this was captured on CCTV footage from the shop.

The man then went to Chawdi police station to lodge a complaint but the police refused to do so. He has alleged that despite of clear evidence, officers at Chawdi police station have denied registering his complaint.
