But the company is now working to change these options so that the user can keep the notifications of their groups off indefinitely.

According to a screenshot shared by blog site WABetaInfo, the company is now working on replacing the ‘closed for one year’ option with the option of mute always, allowing users to keep chat mute for as long as they want. It has been said that this feature is still under development, but if you are a beta user, you can try it by downloading the WhatsApp beta for Android version 2.20.197.3.

Choose Who Can Add You in Groups
Apart from muting notifications, there is also a feature that can save you from the trouble of forcibly adding you to WhatsAppGroups.
