New Delhi : The coronavirus spread from the city of Wuhan in China late last year has caused havoc all over the world. Today, there are more than 52 lakh active cases of this disease worldwide. The world has been battling this epidemic for more than 7 months and no one is currently expecting any relief from it. Even the World Health Organization experts are anticipating the second wave of infection of this virus in the world from next month.

According to data from Worldometers, 215 countries and independent islands around the world are battling the virus. So far, more than 6 lakh people have died due to its infection and so far more than 1 crore 44 lakh cases have been reported.

How frightening is the situation?
More than 2 lakh 40 thousand cases of coronavirus are coming up every day and more than 5 thousand deaths are happening. The virus is spreading fastest in the US-Brazil and India. More than 11 lakh cases have been reported in India. In America, this figure is above 38 lakhs and in Brazil it is above 20 lakhs.

Which countries are still corona free?
At a time when Corona is wreaking havoc on the whole world, there are many countries where not a single case of Coronavirus has been reported. It will be interesting to know who these 12 countries are and where they are located. –

1. Kiribati
The Republic of Kiribati is an island country located in the Pacific Ocean. It is a country made up of 32 scattered islands and a raised coral island. The population of this country of Oceania region is only 1 lakh 10 thousand. It was liberated from Britain in 1979. In 1999, this country became a full member of the United Nations. This country does not have any border with any country but Fiji, Nauru, Marshall Island are its close archipelago. The population of these countries is mainly dependent on marine resources and tourism. Due to different geographical conditions, even in the Corona era, this country is still free from virus infection.

The Marshall Islands is a Micronesian nation located in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. It has a population of only 58,413. It is located north of Nauru and Kiribati. The official currency here is the US dollar. English and Marshallese languages are spoken here. It is an archipelago country consisting of 29 corals and 1156 islands. Only 3 percent of its area is of land and the largest city is Majuro Island.

3. Micronesia
Micronesia is a group of 2100 islands. It is the main archipelago country of the Pacific Ocean. It is spread over an area of 2700 square kilometers. Guam is its largest island. 4. Nauru
Nauru, a country in the southern Pacific Ocean, has a population of only 12,704. It is located south of Marshall Island. It is the second smallest country in the world after Tuvalu in terms of population, while second only to Monaco in terms of area. Australia has a significant influence in administrative matters. The currency here is also an Australian dollar. It became a trust area under the United Nations in November 1947 after the Second World War. Some tourists also come here on normal days, but all are closed during the Corona period. Any other country or island is at least 200 miles away from here.

5. North Korea
North Korea is ruled by Kim Jong Un. Not a single corona case has been registered in this country.
