Study Proves: Female led Country managed Pandemic better compared to male led Country.

In the midst of the coronavirus pandemic, the women leadership has triumphed itself and proven to be better at the administration and managing the unavoidable crisis. The focus has shifted from superpower leaders to women leaders around the world. The list has Angela Merkel, Jacinda Ardern, Tsai Ing-wen and many more.

Not just top most leaders but leaders at subordinate post or local levels within the country has proven to be efficient and quick to make decisions and implement it. Women have shown more empathy towards the crisis.

Countries like India, itself have a large network of women working in remote areas, such as ASHA workers, IAS officers and many more.

The country with a woman leader has announced early lockdown, for example New Zealand. Hence helped in reducing the spread of deadly virus and death from it.

In a recent study half as many as male-led nations have failed to do so.  According to a report published by the Centre for Economic Policy Research, the World Economic Forum carried an analysis of 194 countries showing that women had a ‘systematically’ better management towards controlling COVID-19. It means that these countries saw nearly less casualties compared to nations led by males.

The research was conducted on the bases of data received till May 19 and the determinants used were: GDP, population, population of the elderly, urban population density, healthcare etc.

There were 19 nations led by females, the authors created nearer neighbor groups and compared the similar countries. For eg- New Zealand and Ireland, both having the same size economy and population.

The study shows women have successfully managed the crisis then that of the male opponents.
