“In the Kasba Peth bypoll, we are in such a position that BJP and Shiv Sena are going to win the election 100 per cent. We have complete faith in the voters of Kasba Peth. The state government, which has a double engine, has planned redevelopment of all areas in Kasba Peth. If Hemant Rasane is elected, the residents of Kasba Peth hope that the development which had stopped, would continue with the cooperation of the Central government and state government and under the guidance of Girish Bapat.”
Bawankule targeted MVA and said that Rasane will be elected 100 per cent and added that a lot of development work had been carried out by Mukta Tilak and Girish Bapat.
Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis gave a call for Hindutva in his speech made on Thursday. Bawankule was asked why BJP was advocating Hindutva. He said, “We did not speak about this issue during the election campaign. A leader made an anti-Hindu statement in the presence of Sharad Pawar and Pawar did not stop him. This is wrong and Pawar should have asked the leader to stop his speech. Does Pawar want only votes of Muslims? An attempt was made to give an anti-Hindu colour to the campaign during Pawar’s meeting. Hence, Fadnavis raised the slogan of Hindutva,” he said.
Bawankule alleged that Uddhav Thackeray was making several statements to prevent his partymen from leaving his party because the ground beneath his feet had become shaky.
