Shevgaon: Police recover body of 21-year-old from Dhora river basin, suspects suicide

Shevgaon: A body of a youth was found in the Dhora river basin on Shevgaon-Newase Road on Wednesday (January 27). Reportedly, the body was seen floating in the Dhora river on the Shevgaon-Newase road.

After informing the police, Assistant Inspector of Police Sujit Thackeray, P. H. K Markad, Bappasaheb Dhakatode, Vaijnath Chavan rushed to the spot and sent the body for autopsy at a rural hospital. The deceased’s face was covered with scars, the police said.

Upon investigation, the police found two Aadhar cards from the deceased pant’s pockets. The deceased has been identified as Jay Rajesh Vakhre (age 21). The Aadhar card had two different addresses of Parbhani and Beed.

Police have registered a case of accidental death as they suspected a case of suicide upon preliminary investigation. Assistant Police Inspector Thackeray is further investigating the case.
