Sharad Pawar | Sharad Pawar Credits PM Modi for NCP Ministers’ Oath-Taking, Takes a Defiant Stand

Pune : Sharad Pawar | Amid the recent political turmoil and the loss of top leadership in his party, NCP chief Sharad Pawar adopted a combative stance, giving credit to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the NCP MLAs taking oath as ministers in Maharashtra, including his nephew Ajit Pawar as deputy chief minister, and joining the Shinde-Fadnavis government.

Addressing a news conference in Pune, Pawar responded to PM Modi’s recent statements targeting the NCP and Congress, acknowledging the prime minister’s role in accommodating certain NCP members in his party. Pawar expressed satisfaction, stating that this indicated the allegations made against the NCP were false, and thanked the prime minister for clearing their names.

Regarding the internal developments within the party, Pawar expressed his lack of concern and affirmed his determination to move forward and rejuvenate the party. He mentioned convening a meeting with key party leaders to discuss organizational matters on July 6, indicating that some members had taken a different stance, which would become clear in the coming days.

Pawar revealed that several individuals who attended the swearing-in ceremony had contacted him, claiming that their signatures had been taken without their consent. He emphasized the need for transparency and urged them to present their position to the public, indicating that only then would he acknowledge their differing stance.
