SEX Festival is Celebrated ‘Here’ in Every 35 Days, Participant Can be Physically Intimate with Anyone

New Delhi : Many strange customs the various countries follow across the world. One such custom is in Indonesia. Where sex festival is celebrated once every 35 days. The festival is held in Java, Indonesia. According to a report, during this time, hundreds of boys and girls gather here and make physical relations with strangers. The place where these people gather is named ‘Gunung Kemukus’.
There is a shrine on the mountain where the star-crossed lovers are buried. The pilgrims say a prayer and place offerings of flowers on the shrine. They then cleanse themselves with water from the nearby holy springs before finding a partner to complete the ritual with.
This is the belief –
It is also known as ‘Sex Hill’ which is situated in Indonesia. People here give peculiar reasons to celebrate this fest. It is believed that here a prince was caught having a physical relationship with his girlfriend who was his step mother after which he was murdered. The bodies of both of them are buried on this hill. Social psychologists studying this practice say that ‘the people who come here come as a pilgrim who believe that if they demonstrate their sexuality here, their destiny will be restored’.
Every week, a community clinic is set up at the entrance of Mount Kemukus to conduct health checks for sexually-transmitted diseases (STDs). Dr. Yusinarto, who runs the clinic, blames this tradition for the rise in STDs in the area. He goes on to say that many of his patients know the risks involved but carry on anyway.

Physical Relations are formed after taking bath –
According to the old Javanese calendar, 35 days are chosen here when darkness begins to fall in the mysterious place. Then people sit by laying a mat under the sacred cedar tree in candle light. And during this time a relationship with a stranger is made here. Pilgrims bathe in one of the two sacred water of the mountain. They then search for a stranger for sex. Just then it became a custom and continues till today.
