Seminar on Job Opportunities in CRIP

Civil Engineering Department of GH Raisoni Institute of Engineering & Technology organized one day seminar on ‘Job Opportunities in Construction, Real Estate, Infrastructure and Project (CRIP) Sector’ in collaboration with NICMAR recently for Final year students at Wagholi campus. Dr. Chandrakant Gokhale, Dean of SOCM, NICMAR, Dr. Vishwanath Lele, Dean of Placement & Industry Relations & Dr. Jonardan Koner, Dean of Admission Research & Publication were the guest speakers for the seminar.

Prof. SV Joshi & Prof. SG Ban, HOD Civil Engineering gave overview of the Department. Dr Lele gave the detailed picture of current & future scenario of placement in construction Industry and emphasised the need of add on education in addition to BE (Civil) Degree. Apart from the normal Civil Engineering fields he explained that there is vast requirement of Civil Engineers as valour’s in banking sectors.

Dr Gokhale focused on Construction, real estate, Infra project and opportunities in them and asked the students to focus on any of the field of their choice and get prepared for specialization needed in market.

Dr Koner explained the support facilities available in NICMAR and interacted with students. This session enhanced the knowledge of the students about the job opportunity in different sectors.

Vice Principal Dr NU Korde explained the different placement facilities provided by college to the students. The seminar was very useful for students as per their feedback. The seminar ended with vote of thanks given by Prof. SS Shinde.
