Savitribai Phule Pune University to plant talking trees !!!

Savitribai Phule Pune University is going to create a Language Park. Language Park, which means all the trees in this park will be speaking different languages. More than 180 trees will be planted in International Cell which will be speaking more than 6,000 languages. A specially made device will be placed on these trees.

This initiative is taken under PEN International Congress which is going to be held in India for the 1st time. The Savitribai Phule Pune University is the intellectual partner for the PEN International Congress. PEN international is an organization of writers and editors from all over the world.

Language expert of international standard and head of this conference Dr Ganesh Devi and Savitribai Phule Pune University’s Chancellor Prof. Nitin Karmalkar give the information about this in a press meet.

PEN was established on 1921 in London. This organization mainly works for Freedom of Speech, Peace and friendliness among the members. There are more than 120 country members in this organisation and there are 160 centres all over the world.

On the occasion of India’s freedom fighter and nations father Mahatma Gandhi’s 150th birth anniversary in year 2019, this conference is organised in India. With Savitribai Phule Pune University, many educational institutes are also going to participate in this conference.

Other than the language park initiative, many new things are going to happen in the university Camps. More than 25 international and Indian universities are coming in campus for chat sessions. In this, exchange of Literature in various languages will take place. Dindi of many languages from around the world will be carried out. To mange these events a different committee is formed by university.

This is 84th PEN International Congress which is going to held in Savitribai Phule Pune University from September 25 to September 29.
