The actress got candid during the promotion of her upcoming film, Family of Thakurganj. She is currently in live-in relation with her boyfriend saying “I have a boyfriend, he is not catholic, and he is a businessman.”
Elaborating about her daughter, she said “Her name is veronica, she is 2 and a half years old. She lives with me.”
Revealing about naming her Veronica she said “When Jesus was dragged on the cross and he was being taken to Jerusalem to be crucified. A women dared to wipe his face with her handkerchief and his image got printed on it. That woman was called Veronica. And the meaning is- She who brings victory to true image. Thus I liked the name and decided to name her Veronica”
Mahi also spoke about marriage and said people should not make an issue about having children out of wedlock. She made a statement “Yes, I have not been married yet. When I want to marry, I will do it.”
