RSB Transmissions awarded the women doing great work with significant contributions to society on the occasion of International Women’s Day

Pune: RSB Transmissions (I) Limited celebrated International Women’s Day by recognizing the change makers of Pune in an award ceremony hosted by the company’s women empowerment initiative called ‘EK Pahal’. Nirmala Behera – ED HR, RSB Group fostered the idea of this initiative which stands on four pillars Health and Hygiene, Learning and Development, Community Service, and Safety. The Women’s Day program by the Ek Pahal team awarded the women doing great work with significant contributions to society.

The Chief Guest of the program was Nanda Narayan Lonkar – Corporator NIBM- Wanawadi. Dhanashree Palkar – Sarpanch, Kolvan Village, who contributed to the village with electricity, Water filter, and road construction and formed 30 Bachat Ghat for women, Mrs. Vandana Shete – Health Care Professional, who helped in the safe delivery of mothers from Katkari Tribe, Mrs. Rajashri Tapkir – Founder of Sumitra Shikshan Mandal’s Nivasi Matimand Vidyalaya, Lonikand and Sant Gajanan Nivasi Matimand Vidyalaya Lohegaon, who sold her plot and kept her jewelry for loan to run the schools, and Mrs. Meghana Pawar – Community Health Officer, who worked in challenging conditions with limited resources yet carried her work relentlessly, was awarded in the program.

RSB Transmissions (I) Ltd. is an auto component manufacturing company celebrating 50 years of its foundation. The company was founded by Mr. R.K. Behera – Chairman and Mr. S.K. Behera – Vice Chairman and MD. During the award ceremony, Ms. Nirmala Behera – Executive Director of HR spoke about ‘Ek Pahal’ and told us that RSB aims to increase women’s workforce by 30%. She also mentioned that this award is to felicitate the women who are changemakers working for society’s well-being. She appreciated that even after facing the challenges, these women have worked relentlessly towards their goals. RSB Director – Business Development Mr. Nishit Behera appreciated the women awardees and expressed that their achievements inspire him. Talking about each of the awardees he appreciated the remarkable work done by them.
