Rs 6,000 Crore Employment Push Using CAMPA Funds : Finance Minister

New Delhi : Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is giving information about the second installment of the Rs 20 lakh crore package announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi amid Corona crisis. On Wednesday, major announcements were made for the MSME sector, after which announcements are now being made for other sectors. The press conference has begun.

Employment creation through Compensatory Afforestation Fund Management and Planning Authority (CAMPA) funds:
The government says it has already received proposals worth Rs 6,000 crore to help generate employment for tribal and adivasis for afforestation and plantation works, artificial regeneration etc. Considering the monsoon is approaching, these projects will kick off soon.
