Rohit Pawar celebrates the birthday of Sharad Pawar with a social message

NP NEWS 24 ONLINE NEWS –  Winter is here and it is difficult for anyone to go out of their house without wearing jackets and warms but there are some who neither have a house nor have blankets to cover himself.

For the birthday of NCP Head Sharad Pawar, his nephew and Pune ZP member Rohit Pawar decided to celebrate it with a social message. He distributed blankets among the needy on the night of November 10 with some of the National Congress party members.

This social programme was conducted around Madai area where a lot of beggars sleep on the road. This gave a big relief to the people who were sleeping in an environment which was actually freezing.

When he was contesting the ZP elections talking to a newspaper he said, “All my family members – Mr Sharad Pawar, Mr Ajit Pawar, Smt Supriya Sule and others – have a social legacy. Looking at these people, who have done so much for society, I felt that I should also be socially involved at a lower level. I might get a political position but I want to do social work at the grassroots level.”

It looks like he is sticking to his words of social work and helping the one who needs it.

In this programme, there were many NCP workers who participated actively. NCP’s student congress Pune City vice president was also present.
