The rains have started to decline in the state since last few days. And, Maharashtra is going to witness less rainfall whereas; rainfall has stopped at other places except for Konkan. Also, there will be heavy rains in northeast India due to its favorable conditions, says the weather forecast.

According to the Meteorological Department, the low-pressure belt in the Bay of Bengal headed towards the north. Therefore, there will be heavy rainfall in Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi and Himachal Pradesh in the coming days.

However, it is estimated that there will be light rainfall in Maharashtra because there are no proper environmental conditions available for the monsoon. There is a possibility of rainfall in some regions because of the partly clouded weather conditions. There are no chances of increase in rainfall in the state in this week.

Dams have stopped releasing water:

Many dams have stopped releasing water because of the decrease in rainfall in the state. There was continuous rainfall for more than fifteen days and now the rain has almost decreased. Therefore, less amount of water is being released from Khadakwasla dams and has been closed. Water release has been discontinued from Panshet, Varasgaon and Pawana dams.

As per the reports by the administration, 9416 cusec water was released by Khadakwasla dam on Friday evening 8 pm which is a yet lesser amount than the previous one. 18491 cusecs of water have already been released by dams in the past few days. And, now decrease in cusec is a symbol that rainfall has decreased after a heavy rainfall being witnessed in Pune from past few days.
