30 injured in a bus accident at Mangaon

A major accident took place on Mumbai Pune National Highway on Saturday morning after the public transport bus plying passengers heading to Pune from Dapoli neglected the traffic norm rammed over the road divider. Soon after the accident, the driver fled away leaving the bus along with 30 injured.

The incident took place with Shivani State transport bus which was traveling from Dapoli to Pune met with an accident on Saturday morning. The accident took place near Mangaon in Dapoli. The driver lost the control of the steering of the bus and the bus overturned. All the 30 passengers who were traveling in this bus were injured in the accident. The driver fled immediately after the accident from the spot.

This accident occurred in Mangaon near Mahad when the Shivshahi bus was heading towards Pune from Mahad. The passenger speaking to NP News 24 said that Since morning, the driver has been driving the bus rashly and was repeatedly trying to overtake other vehicles.

Gauravi Joshi a passenger of the same bus said, “While overtaking other vehicles, the driver lost the control over the steering of the bus and the bus flipped on the one side of the road. The passengers were frightened due to the accident and everyone other in the bus is injured. The driver fled away soon later the accident took place”.

Meanwhile, the injured passengers have been admitted to the nearest government hospital. Immediately after this incident, the police rushed to the spot and are probing into the case further.

Gaurvi recalls that around 30 passengers were traveling on this bus. Passengers were complaining about the rash driving of driver. The accident took place due to the driver’s negligence and the passengers are demanding for action to be taken against the driver.
