Pune’s Girish Bapat, heading to conquer smart city

Npnews24 online, Pune: Putting an end to suspense, election counting are in process and BJP candidate Girish Bapat is leading by 51,000 votes.

Girish Bapat who was state minister in Devendra Fadnavis cabinet and also representing as current guardian minister of the city is making his big head to win

Pune was one’s a bastion of congress party, but in 2014 General election BJP candidate Anil Shirole defeated congress Dr. Vishwajeet Kadam.

After kept waiting for long, Congress placed Mohan Joshi against BJP Girish Bapat in the Lok Sabha election of 2019. But city has shown less interest in the election, current voting shown trend.

City recorded voter turnout around 49.84 percent, where 50 percent around people keep them away from the voting. In the 2014 Lok Sabha election, Pune had seen a voter turnout of 54.11 percent. Straight fight in between Congress Joshi and BJP Bapat, will show final outcome in near time.
