Action taken by Traffic Department

To keep an effective control over traffic jams, the Traffic Department acts against people speaking on mobile, triple seat, wrong side driving, driving through no-entry, riding of vehicles by minors. However, the number of violators are increasing. Hence, to take action against errant commuters, a sophisticated camera made by a private company is going to be used. The photographs of traffic violators are being taken. The cameras have been installed on 10 police vehicles. In the first phase, a survey of traffic violators will be carried out.
When a photo is taken by a camera installed on police vehicles, the date, time, place (latitude and longitude) details are available. Hence, the police can take action by seeing the photos. Huge number of people violate traffic rules. Because of the cameras, a maximum fine would be collected from traffic violators and this will prove a deterrent for erring commuters. This will help in bringing discipline in the traffic.
