Pune RTO News | RTO Takes Strict Action Against Bus Drivers for Traffic Violations in Pimpri Chinchwad

Pimpri Chinchwad : Pune RTO News | The Regional Transport Office (RTO) in Pimpri-Chinchwad has cracked down on bus drivers who have been flouting traffic rules in the area. In a recent operation, the RTO conducted a special inspection of 363 buses and took action against 146 drivers for various traffic violations. These drivers have collectively been fined a staggering amount of 12 lakh 65 thousand rupees.

During the monsoon season, when the demand for transportation options surges, many travelers turn to private buses due to limited availability of railway and state transport (ST) bookings. However, this influx of passengers has led to some private bus drivers taking advantage of the situation. Reports suggest that these drivers often exceed their bus capacity, charge exorbitant fares, and blatantly disregard traffic regulations.

To address this issue and ensure the safety of commuters, the RTO in Pimpri Chinchwad stepped up their efforts by conducting thorough inspections of private buses. During these inspections, they closely examined 363 buses and closely monitored driver behavior. As a result, 146 drivers were found guilty of violating traffic rules and were duly penalized.

The fines imposed on these drivers send a strong message that traffic violations will not be tolerated. The RTO’s actions aim to bring about a sense of discipline among bus drivers and prevent them from putting the lives of passengers and other road users at risk.
