Pune teacher thrashes student, gets him paralyzed

PUNE: NP NEWS 24 ONLINE –  In a shocking incident a teacher’s brutal beating of the student has ended up getting him paralyzed. This tragic incident has taken place in Pune’s Shri Shivaji Preparatory Miltory School (SSPMS). No case has been registered in this incident yet but the parents of the child are demanding the termination of the teacher who thrashed the student.

The incident took place before November 3 as the Diwali vacation started. The name of the student is Prasanna Shailendra Patil who studies in standard six at SSPMS. Prasanna(11) hails from Indapur. He was thrashed by his drawing teacher for not completing the assignment given to him.

Parents of Prasanna told “He was brutally beaten by his drawing teacher named Gade for not completing the assignment. His right-hand side of the body has been paralyzed because of harsh thrashing. His head was smashed on the bench, was pinched on the stomach and his legs were beaten by a wooden stick. His sir used to pull the nerves of his head.”

The doctor has given the opinion that Prasanna’s right side will be Paralysed for lifetime because of the beating. His nerves have got blocked due to which the right side of his face has been affected. His right eye will be small for the lifetime or he might never see anything from that eye.

The incident came into light when Prasanna’s mother noticed that his facial structure has distorted and when she asked him about it he told that he was beaten by the drawing teacher for not completing the assignment.

The school authority tried to avoid the situation by saying that they will look into the matter once the school reopens. But Prasanna’s parents are demanding the termination of the drawing teacher Gade. As he has spoiled the life of a student and this must not happen with anyone else in the school. The principal of SSPMS Patil said that the action will be taken on the teacher.

The parents of the student are also asking for the CCTV footage of the incident.

If the teacher is not terminated then the parents are going to file a complaint in Shivajinagar police station.
