Pune PMC Water Supply | Water Supply Disrupted in Pune’s Central Areas Due to Power Interruption

Pune : Pune PMC Water Supply | In an unexpected turn of events, the water supply to the central part of Pune was disrupted on Monday morning following a power supply interruption at the Parvati Pumping Station.

The interruption occurred around 8 am and lasted for about an hour and a half until the power supply was restored around 9:30 am. As a result, water supply was halted in the Parvati areas, all the peths (old city neighborhoods), and the Lashkar region, according to Anirudh Pavaskar, the head of the water supply department of the municipal corporation.

The sudden loss of water caused distress among the citizens of Pune, particularly those residing in the central areas and peths, between 8 am and 9 am. While the Pune Municipal Corporation had planned to suspend water supply every Thursday, this unexpected disruption inconvenienced the citizens during their morning routines.

The delayed resumption of water supply resulted in people being late to leave their houses, and some had to wait for water. The frustration among citizens was evident as they expressed their dissatisfaction. The water supply remained under low pressure in most parts of the city, including the Lashkar area, until noon. However, normal water supply was gradually restored in the city during the afternoon.
