PUNE : Rupali Chakankar | There has been a political earthquake in state politics. Along with Ajit Pawar, 40 MLAs of NCP have supported the Shinde-Fadnavis government. Ajit Pawar took oath as Deputy CM on Sunday and this had created an uproar in state politics.
Nine other NCP MLAs have taken oath as ministers. Chhagan Bhujbal, Dilip Walse-Patil, Hasan Mushrif, Dhananjay Munde, Aditi Tatkare, Sanjay Bansode, Anil Patil and Dharmarao Baba Atram took the oath of office.
NCP has got nine posts of ministers in the Shinde-Fadnavis government. Many activists of NCP are reiterating that they are with Sharad Pawar and some are supporting Ajit Pawar. The Chairperson of State Commission for Women, Rupali Chakankar, has given support to Ajit Pawar.
Chakankar is known as a supporter of Sharad Pawar. Chakankar met Ajit Pawar at his bungalow and had discussions with him for 15 to 20 minutes. Chakankar has not spelled out her stand but at the press conference held by Ajit Pawar, Chakankar was sitting behind Ajit Pawar.
