Pimpri Chinchwad : Pune News | In the early hours of Thursday morning, a landslide occurred at Chhatrapati Chowk on Kunal Icon Road in Pimple Saudagar, creating a significant ditch in the road. Thankfully, no casualties were reported as the incident took place during the early hours when traffic and pedestrian movement were minimal.
The landslide not only caused damage to the road but also resulted in the disruption of the water supply line on the road and the stream water line. The incident was noticed by citizens who were out for their morning exercises and the residents of the nearby society. Realizing the gravity of the situation, they promptly alerted the municipal authorities, the water supply department, and the police administration.
Responding swiftly to the alerts, the police and municipal departments immediately reached the site to assess the situation and provide necessary assistance. As a precautionary measure, the area has been barricaded to prevent any accidents or further damage.
The Municipal Emergency Department and Water Supply Department are working tirelessly to repair the damaged pipeline and restore the water supply as soon as possible. Simultaneously, efforts are underway to fix the damaged portion of the road, ensuring its safe usability for commuters.
