Pune Crime News | Pune Swargate police station: Businessman robbed of ₹4 lakh after being fired at near Ganesh Kala Krida Manch

PUNE : Pune Crime News | A tobacco businessman who was riding a two-wheeler was injured after two bullets were fired at him by unidentified persons riding a motorcycle. They forcefully took away his bag which contained cash of ₹4 lakh. The incident took place on the road opposite Diamond Hotel near Ganesh Kala Krida Manch on Wednesday at 9 pm.

 

Latesh Hasmukhlal Suratwala (51), a resident of Manikbaug, has been seriously injured and the bullets had entered his back and thighs. His condition is stable and he is under treatment.
According to the police, Latesh Suratwala has a tobacco business in Nana Peth. He had kept ₹4 lakh earned through business in his bag and was going home on a two-wheeler. His servant was also with him. At 9 to 9.15 pm, they were travelling on the road near Ganesh Kala Krida Manch and going to Maikbaug.

 

At that time, some unidentified persons who were on a two-wheeler, fired at him. One of the bullets entered his back and another entered his thigh. He fell on the road and the unidentified persons took away his bag containing ₹4 lakh. Police officers immediately reached the spot. They found two empty pellets there. The Swargate police are probing the case.
