Pune News | Essay contest and Ganesh idol making contest held; Initiative of Shrimant Bhausaheb Rangari Ganpati Trust and Punit Balan Group

Pune : NpNews24 Online  –  Pune News | Against the background of the Ganesh festival which is only few days away, the Shrimant Bhausaheb Rangari Ganpati Trust and Punit Balan Group had recently organised an essay writing contest and a Ganesh idol making contest for students of Nutan Marathi Vidyalaya. More than 2,000 students took part in the events. (Pune News)

For the essay contest, the students were given two subjects: 1) Founder of Public Ganesh Festival: Bhausaheb Rangari 2) The Public Ganesh Festival of my dreams. The students had to write essays in either Hindi and English in 250 to 300 words. The event was held on September 4 and 1,700 students took part in it. On September 1, a Ganesh idol making contest was held where the students had to make idols by using shadu clay. Two hundred and twenty five students took part in this contest.

The Shrimant Bhausaheb Rangari Ganpati Trust is going to pay this year’s fee of students who will win the contest. The prize ceremony will be held on September 20 on the premises of the mandal.

Punit Balan, Trustee and Festival Head of Shrimant Bhausaheb Rangari Ganpati Trust, said, “Due to these competitions, ideas will evolve about how to make the Ganesh festival a social event besides creating a social awakening. If there are some novel suggestions, we can think about implementing them.”
