Pune News | Charity fashion show of doctors held successfully in city

PUNE: Pune News | Kashish Social Foundation had organised a different charity show of doctors to create awareness about women’s health on Sunday (July 30). More than 100 doctors from different parts of the state took part in the event and did ramp walk in the event which had been organised as a part of social responsibility. The charity show took place at Drome Arena, Mayfield Estate, Kharadi. From the funds collected through the fashion show, women staying in remote areas will be provided 1 lakh sanitary napkins and HPV vaccination will also be carried out.

 

The doctors responded in an enthusiastic manner for this programme organised by Kashish Social Foundation. Former chief of BJP’s city unit Jagdish Mulik, President of Akhil Bharatiya Marathi Chitrapat Mahamandal Meghraj Rajebhosale, world renowned urologist Dr Sanjay Kulkarni, world renowned laparoscopic surgeon Dr Jyotsna Kulkarni, Pratima Satej Patil, former chief of IMA Dr Avinash Bhondwe, Asst to commissioner of police, PCMC Sunil Hirurkar, Aba Nikam, former corporator Surendra Pathare, Dr Ritu Dave, Dr Parimal Sawant, Rupesh Dagar, life coach trainer Pankaj Bhadage, Rashmi Kalsekar of Lai Bhari Puneri, senior actor Sunil Godbole and President of Kashish Social Foundation Yogesh Pawar were present.

More than 300 doctors from various parts of the state took part in the event. There were two rounds of ramp walk in the show. The first round was of designer dress and the second round (social work round) was of white apron.

 

Speaking about the fashion show, Yogesh Pawar said, “Through Kashish Social Foundation, we are creating awareness about menstruation which is an important and delicate issue. As a part of this initiative, till date, 40,000 sanitary napkins have been distributed in remote areas of Pune and Satara districts. The remaining 60,000 napkins will be distributed after the show. In recent times, many women have developed cancer of the uterus. As a preventive measure, HPV vaccination will be carried out. Through the Pink Revolution, HPV vaccination of girls in remote areas will be carried out free of cost through Dr Shraddha Javanjal. The registration for this has started.”

 

Mumbai Oncocare Centre, Krsnaa Diagnostics Ltd, life coach trainer Pankaj Bhadage and VNWC (Bobby Karnani) provided special help in conducting the event.

 

Dr Shraddha Javanjal, Dr Rajeshree Thoke, Dr Ritu Lokhande,
Dr Varsha Kurhade, Dr Kavita Londhe Kamble, Dr Kedar Tambe, Dr Vaishnavi Shete, Dr Jui Gijre contributed to the show as advisory board members. Dr Sarika Ingole, Dr Gourav Pavle, Dr Samta Chowdhary, Dr Archana Pande, Dr Neha Sawant, Dr Reshma Mirghe, Dr Snehal Kohle, Dr Pradnya Bhalerao and Dr Priyanka Bendale contributed to the programme as core committee members. Anjali Wagh, Pooja Wagh and Priyanka Misal helped in organising the show.
