Pune – NDRF retrieves bodies mother-daughter who fell down from Nagphani point, Bhimashankar

Pune : Np News Network- Officials from the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) has retrieved two dead bodies, that of a Mother and daughter who had fallen from Nagphani point in Bhimashankar on Monday evening.

NDRF mountain rescue team was able to haul up the bodies after an operation of about 3.30 hours from a depth of about 600 feet. Inspite of scorching heat, difficult location of bodies on the slope, NDRF team through its meticulous planning and expertise finished the operation in record time, NDRF officials said.

Around 4 pm on Monday, Pune rural police control room was informed that a woman and a youth had fallen from the Nagphani point. A team led by Khed Police Inspector Arvind Chaudhary rushed to the spot. They tried to search them but failed locate them. Meanwhile, local villagers and trekkers groups were also called to search the youth and the girl. Later NDRF was informed and a team was sent today. The team found bodies of mother-daughter. There was no youth.
