Pune: Union Minister of State for Cooperation & Civil Aviation Murlidhar Mohol assumed charge of his office on Wednesday (June 10). Earlier, he met Union Home Minister Amit Shah.

It is said that the BJP will groom Mohol in the cooperation sector in the backdrop of a setback received by DyCM Ajit Pawar in the Lok Sabha elections. The NCP is holding its sway over most of the sugar factories in Western Maharashtra. Political equations are changing in Pune.

The BJP leadership in Delhi is preparing to make a dent into the NCP and Ajit Pawar’s supremacy in the cooperation sector. Therefore, Mohol has been given the responsibility of the Minister of State for Cooperation as the deputy of Union Cooperation Minister Amit Shah. Mohol is seen as the Maratha face of the BJP in Maharashtra.

It is expected that Minister Mohol will clear the issues related to the Pune airport and the Cooperation Department.
