Pune: Mobile phones, laptops stolen from PG accommodation in Hadapsar

Pune: Mobile and laptop thefts are increasing in the city. Mobile phones and laptops were stolen from New Navjyoti PG accommodation in Hadapsar, where some youths are staying.

The incident took place between late night on Wednesday and the early hours of Thursday. The stolen devices were valued at Rs 51,000.

Sushil Kumar Sahu (25), a resident of Hadapsar, hailing from UP, lodged a complaint at the Hadapsar Police Station. A case has been registered against an unidentified person under section 380 of the IPC.

According to the police, the complainant and his friends Ashutosh Kumar, Hritik Rajkumar, Rajendra Chouhan and Shashank Shrivastava stay at the PG house. They went to sleep at midnight on Wednesday. When they woke up in the morning they found the door of their room open. Their mobile four phones and three laptops were stolen. They then approached the police. The devices amounting to Rs 50,700 were stolen.

The police are investigating further.
