Pune Mundhwa Police | Mundhwa Police Rescue 8-Year-Old Girl Found Crying Alone, Reunite Her with Family

Pune : Pune Mundhwa Police | An 8-year-old girl was found crying near Janseva Bank in the Keshavnagar Mundhwa area, having left her home alone. Fortunately, the police were able to trace her parents and safely reunite them.

 

The incident occurred around 7 pm when a resident of the area, Nilkanth Manikshetty, noticed the distressed girl and approached her. Despite his efforts to get information from her, she remained silent. Concerned for her well-being, Manikshetty took her to the nearby Keshavnagar police station, where Police Officer Deepak Kadam was present. However, the girl was unable to provide her name or address, prompting Officer Deepak Kadam to escalate the situation to Senior Police Inspector Vishnu Tamhane.

 

Senior Inspector Tamhane promptly directed a team, including Police Sub-Inspector Kolekar, Officers Deepak Kamble, Sachin Borate, and Dayanand Gaikwad, to search for the girl’s parents. The police diligently questioned the local residents of the Keshavnagar area and were eventually able to gather information about her family. After approximately one to one and a half hours of searching during the night, they successfully located the girl’s house.

 

The reunion brought tears of relief and gratitude to the family’s eyes. They expressed their deep appreciation to the police for their swift action and vigilance, which ensured the safe return of their missing daughter.

 

Deputy Commissioner of Police Vikrant Deshmukh, Assistant Commissioner of Police Ashwini Rakh (ACP Ashwini Rakh), and Senior Police Inspector Vishnu Tamhane, along with the dedicated team of Police Inspector Pradeep Kakade, Sub-Inspector Kolekar, and Officers Deepak Kamble, Sachin Borate, and Dayanand Gaikwad, played crucial roles in locating the girl’s parents and reuniting the family.
