Pune: Heinous Rape of Minor Girl in Hadapsar; Accused Booked Under POCSO

Pune: A minor girl from the Kalepadal area of Hadapsar was brutally raped by a 17-year-old boy who lured her with the promise of marriage. In this regard, the victim girl registered a complaint against the accused boy at Kondhwa police station on Tuesday, April 2.

According to the complaint filed by the victim girl, the accused boy befriended her and lured her by promising marriage. After gaining her trust, the accused called the victim girl to his house and brutally raped her. After that, the accused again forcefully sexually assaulted the girl.

Shockingly, the accused also threatened the girl to kill her and her parents if she told anyone about it.

After that, the girl rushed to Kondhwa Police Station and lodged a complaint against the accused. Based on the complaint, Kondhwa police booked the juvenile accused under IPC 376, 376/2/N, 506, and the POCSO Act. Further investigation is being conducted by Assistant Police Inspector Amit Shete.

In another startling revelation, a disturbing incident of molestation of a rickshaw passenger has come to light. In this regard, a 22-year-old woman living in Bibvewadi has filed a complaint at Kondhwa police station.

According to the complaint, on Sunday, April 1, at around 7 p.m., when the victim woman was travelling by rikshaw from the IT Hostel Chowk on Katraj-Kondhwa Road, the accused rikshaw driver attempted to molest her by making unwelcome advances at her. In this regard, a complaint was registered against the unknown rikshaw driver, and Assistant Police Inspector Vikas Babar is conducting further investigation into it.
