Pune Half Marathon Promo Run organized in Puneri style

Girls were running in Navvari Sari and boys were running in Dhoti Kurta/ Nehru shirt Pyjama. This was the unique style with which the Pune Road Runners group, organized the promo run for the Pune Half Marathon which is happening on 7 October 2018.

The Puneri traditional Promo run was joined by the renowned, veteran Filmmaker, Educationist and the Showman of Bollywood Subhash Ghai.

Ghai while mentioning his linkages with Pune city said that the city always had a special place in his heart. He participated in the run along with the runners and urged citizens to participate in Pune Half Marathon in big number. While appreciating the efforts of the organizers from Pune Road Runner group, he talked about the importance of being fit which helps in sound mind and sound body. Pune Road Runners Member and Event Organizer Manoj Thakur mentioned “As per the dire need of this hour, Pune Half Marathon is committed towards the cause of much-needed relief work in the flood-affected state of Kerala. The team is using this event as a means to donate a portion of ticket sales to the Chief Minister’s Distress Relief Fund.”

Pune RoadRunners spokesperson Rohit Roy said, to give a message about fitness and exercise to the community in a unique Puneri way during this festive season”

The Pune Half Marathon is being organized in three categories of the 6km family run called as Aapla Pune Run, 10km and 21 km Half Marathon run.
