Pune: Fake Marriage Promise! Office Colleague Raped Woman Employee, Hadapsar Police Investigates

Pune: Another shocking incident of sexual harassment of a woman has come to light from Pune’s Hadapsar area, where a 27-year-old girl registered a complaint of forceful sexual assault and giving a fake marriage promise against a person on Wednesday.

In this regard, the Hadapsar Police registered a case against the accused, identified as Amar Shivcharan Jamadar under IPC 354 (a), 354 (d), 376, 376/2/N. Jamadar, 28, is originally a native of Solapur and is currently working in Pune, in the same office where the plaintiff is working.

The victim girl complained that the accused initially chased her and tried to get closer to her. After that, he got the plaintiff’s WhatsApp number and started texting her, saying he loved her so much and he wanted to marry her.

After gaining the plaintiff’s trust, the accused maintained unwanted physical relations with the girl under a fake marriage promise. Further, he also sexually assaulted the victim by coming to her house and at different places in Pune between 2022 and 2023.

Shockingly, in the last month, the accused suddenly backtracked on his marriage promise and refused to marry the plaintiff. Feeling cheated and distressed, the plaintiff filed a complaint against Jamadar at Hadapsar Police Station. In this regard, Police Sub-Inspector M. A. Jamadar is conducting further investigation.
