Pune : EPFO attaches Sinhgad education society’s to recover Rs 14.79 crores dues

Pune Np News Network- Officials from the Employees’ Provident Fund Organization (EPFO), Pune Regional Office, has attached bank accounts held by Sinhgad Education Society at Punjab National Bank, Nana Peth branch, Pune and recovered the outstanding amount of Rs 14.79  crores on February 8.

In a press release, the department stated, “The total dues recovered in this case till date is Rs 14.92 crores which was assessed for the for the period of March 2014 to March 2016.The said dues were assessed in respect of employees enrolled as PF members by the establishment. However, enquiry for the same period i.e. March 2014 to March 2016 still under progress to assess the dues in respect of employees engaged through or by contractors/vendors by the establishment. As establishment is found to continue the default in remittance of PF dues. Enquiry for subsequent period i.e. April 2016 to November 2018 is also in progress for further assessment of dues.”
