Pune Drug Case | Lalit Patil drug smuggling case: Chemical engineer Lohare gave formula of MD to Lalit Patil
PUNE: NpNews24 Online – Pune Drug Case | The police informed the court on Friday that chemical engineer Arvindkumar Prakashchandra Lohare gave the formula of manufacturing Mephedrone to Lalit Patil in the Yerawada Jail. After Lalit gave the formula to Bhushan, the latter started a factory to manufacture the drug. He later built an empire of drug smuggling. (Pune Drug Case)
Lalit had been arrested for selling drugs in Chakan and later, Lalit and Lohare got acquainted in the Yerawada Jail. Lohare gave the formula of manufacturing MD to Lalit Patil. Lohare is in the Yerawada Jail at the present. He would also be made a co-accused in the case and questioned. Lalit is now in the custody of Mumbai police.
Meanwhile, the police custody of Lalit Patil’s brother Bhushan and Abhishek Balkawade was ending and they were produced in the court on Friday. Assistant Public Prosecutor Nilima Yadav-Ithape made a demand that their police custody should be extended because the crime committed by the accused was heinous and the police wanted to thoroughly investigate them. The court accepted the demand and extended their police custody till October 22.
Meanwhile, the police got information about two accomplices of Lalit Patil who are also involved in drug smuggling. They have been identified as Zishan Shaikh and Rohan alias Golu Ansari. They are in Yerawada and Taloja Jails respectively. The police said that they are also going to be quizzed.
