Pune: Distribution of Scholarship Checks and Blood Donation at Event Organised on Rasiklal Dhariwal’s Birth Anniversary

Pune : Though Rasiklal Dhariwal could not get the opportunity of higher education, through his perseverance and dedication, he became a successful business tycoon and reached the zenith of the industry, earning him accolades and acclaim.

“Not content with personal success alone, Rasiklal Dhariwal has embarked on a philanthropic journey, leaving an indelible mark on society through his remarkable contributions to social welfare. Through the RMD Foundation, Rasiklal Dhariwal has spearheaded a scholarship scheme aimed at supporting financially disadvantaged students in pursuit of higher education. Over the past 18 years, this initiative has transformed the lives of more than 12,000 meritorious students, ensuring that their academic aspirations are not thwarted by economic constraints,” affirmed Shobhatai R. Dhariwal, Vice President of the RMD Foundation.

Shobhatai Dhariwal was speaking on the occasion of Rasiklal Dhariwal’s birth anniversary. At this time, the RMD Foundation hosted a programme to distribute scholarship checks to students pursuing medical education. Amidst this noble endeavour, the spirit of giving continued to flourish, as epitomised by the blood donation camp organised by the RMD Foundation.

Janhavi Dhariwal Balan, President of the foundation, expressed her gratitude for her father’s unwavering support and guidance, which have been instrumental in driving the foundation’s social initiatives across India. She said, “Under his benevolent gaze, the foundation has implemented a multitude of projects aimed at uplifting the lives of the masses, with promises of innovative schemes to come.”

In attendance at the event was Punit Balan, Chairman of Punit Balan Group, whose presence underscored the collective commitment to philanthropy and social responsibility. Renowned actor Makarand Anaspure lent his voice to the cause, urging students to shun the perils of drug addiction and dedicate themselves to serving the nation through their chosen paths.

Amidst the festivities, Akash Thosar, celebrated for his role in the film “Sairat,” graced the occasion, inspiring and energising blood donors with his presence. Representatives from various sectors, including social organisations, municipal bodies, educational institutions, and the media, joined hands with college students, police officers, and volunteers in a collective effort to save lives. Over 425 blood donors came forward, embodying the spirit of selflessness and solidarity.

As the event drew to a close, Shobha Dhariwal extended heartfelt gratitude to all the blood donors.
