Private moneylender held for threatening to kill a shopkeeper in Shikrapur

Pune : NpNews24 OnlinePune Crime | The Pune Police Crime Branch Unit 4 arrested an illegal private moneylender for abusing and threatening a shopkeeper to kill. The moneylender, who has no licence to carry out moneylending, was demanding repayment of Rs 20-lakh loan.

 

The accused has been identified as Kishor Sadashiv Khaladkar (38), a resident of Jategaon, Shirur. Narayan Ramlal Chowdhary (41), a resident of Vadgaon Sheri, lodged a complaint in this regard at the Chandan Nagar police station. Chowdhary has a garment shop, Baba Garment, in Shikrapur.

 

According to the police, Khaladkar provided Rs 20-lakh loan to Chowdhary at 10% interest rate. Later, he pestered the complainant to repay the loan. He issued threats that he would kill Chowdhary, if the latter failed to repay the loan. He also abused the shopkeeper.

 

Khaladkar entered his shop in his absence and demanded repayment. He also abused and threatened to kill Chowdhary’s brother. The complainant then approached the police. Khaladkar has been arrested.
