Pune Crime News | Police succeeded in recovering businessman bag back with jewellery worth Rs 2 lakh left in auto rickshaw in Pune

Pune: Pune Crime News | On Tuesday, July 25 a silver merchant Ramesh Rupchand Jain (57) was traveling in an auto rickshaw between Shahu Udyan and Pune station and he forgot the bag with jewellery worth Rs 2 lakh in the rickshaw. Jain soon after realising that he left his bag in auto reached the Samarth police station and reported to police and the police promptly investigated the case and recovered Jain’s bag left in auto.

 

A police officer from Samarth police station said, “Ramesh Jain was traveling in a rickshaw from Shahu Udyan to Pune station on Tuesday. While paying the rickshaw fare at Pune station, he forgot the 2.5 kg bag of assorted jewellery worth Rs 2 lakh in the rickshaw.The investigation team of Samarth police station obtained the number of the rickshaw (MH 12 KY 6875) by checking the CCTV cameras in front of Shahu Udyan. When the information about the rickshaw was obtained through Nakabandi app, it was found that this rickshaw belonged to Rahul Waghmare a resident of Ganesh Khind Road in Aundh). The police went to the address and inquired about it, but the information was received that this rickshaw was taken over by Bajaj Finance Company and sold to people from various neighborhoods.”

 

The officer further added, “The police searched the rickshaw after taking the rickshaw’s receipt and the rickshaw driver’s photo and permit information from the rickshaw from Pune traffic department. At that time we got information that the rickshaw was at Hadapsar. The police called the rickshaw driver Digambar Satish Jadhav (22) a resident of Trimurti Chowk at Katraj and summoned him to the police station. When asked about the bag he forgot in the rickshaw, he said that he gave it to his relative Aryan Mane to drive the rickshaw for the night shift. We called Aryan Mane and inquired about the bag. At that time, he informed us that he had received a red bag. He was called to the police station with a bag. Ramesh Jain checked the jewellery at 10 pm and found all the jewellery in good condition. We handed over the jewellery bag to its original owner Ramesh Jain.”
