Pune Crime News | CP Ritesh Kumar acts against gangster Toufiq Bholawale and his five accomplices under MCOCA

Pune : NpNews24 Online – Pune Crime News | The police commissioner has taken action against Toufiq Riaz Bholawale and his five accomplices under MCOCA for trying to kill a youth by brutally assaulting him over a dispute over an argument at a tea stall. The complainant was talking with his friends near a paan shop at Kamala Nehru Chowk on July 9. The complainant had an argument with his acquaintances at a tea stall at 15 August Chowk. Toufiq Bholawale and his accomplices, who were angry over this incident, brutally assaulted him by using an iron rod, hockey stick and a wooden stick and had tried to kill him. An FIR has been registered at the Faraskhana police station under sections 307, 324, 143, 144, 147, 148, 149, 323 and 506 of the IPC, Arm Act, Maharashtra Police Act, Criminal Law Amendment Act and Criminal Law Amendment Act.

In connection with the case, gang leader Toufiq Riaz Bholawale (22), a resident of Kasba Peth, Hrithik Rajesh Gaikwad (22), Ujair Shahid Shaikh (21), Arman Iqbal Shaikh (20), Rafiq Jafar Shaikh (35), all residents of New Mangalwar Peth, have been arrested.

During investigation, it came to light that Bholawale had formed a gang and had committed many crimes during the last six years. He and his accomplices have committed various crimes like possessing sharp weapons, attempted murder, causing serious injury, damaging property of citizens, spreading terror, violating police orders etc. A preventive action had been taken against them but they have repeatedly committed such crimes.

PI Mangesh Jagtap had submitted a proposal through DCP Sandeep Singh Gill to include charges of MCOCA, 1999 under sections 3 (1) (ii), 3(2), 3(4) in the FIR registered against Bholawale and his accomplices to Addl CP Pravin Kumar Patil. He examined the proposal and gave his approval. ACP Ashok Dhumal is probing the case.

The action was taken by Senior PI Dadasaheb Chudappa, PI Mangesh Jagtap, API Santosh Shinde of the surveillance unit, PSI Nilesh Mokashi, policemen Ajit Shinde, Tushar Khadke, Pankaj Deshmukh, Shashikant Nanavare, Pundalik Zunbad under the guidance of CP Ritesh Kumar, Joint CP Sandeep Karnik, Addl CP Pravin Kumar Patil, DCP Sandip Singh Gill and ACP Ashok Dhumal.
