Pune Crime | Externed goon threatens, molests woman in Ganesh Peth
Pune : NpNews24 Online – Pune Crime | A habitual externed criminal threatened a woman saying ‘I am a gangster from Ganesh Peth, do not try to report this matter to the police, else I will kill you with this sickle’. He then molested the woman in the middle of a street. (Pune Crime)
The criminal was identified as Sandeep Kamlakar Chavan (42), a resident of Ganesh Peth. The incident took place near Sadadi Sadan in Ganesh Peth on Monday night. The 46-year-old woman lodged a complaint at the Faraskhana police station in this connection.
According to the police, the complainant and her father-in-law were sitting in front of their house when the accused came there and started abusing her father-in-law as he thought that her father-in-law had lodged a complaint against him with the police. When the complainant tried to stop him, he made obscene gestures at her. Her woman relative tried to drive him away. He threatened her with the weapon. He shouted loudly and tried to spread terror. People around the place ran away.
The DCP Zone 1 had externed Chavan. API Shete is investigating the matter.
