Doctor booked for molestation claims he was kidnapped, robbed, four booked
Pune : NpNews24 Online – Pune Crime | A doctor was booked for molesting a 22-year-old woman, who visited his clinic for treatment. The doctor, Suhel Babasaheb Tamboli (36), has now claimed that four persons dragged him out of his clinic and beat him up in a nearby lane. They threatened to kill him and snatched away his gold chain and Rs 6,000 from his pocket. (Pune Crime)
Dr Tamboli is a resident of Kondhwa. According to the police, Dr Suhel Tamboli has his Tamboli Clinic in Shivneri Nagar, Kondhwa. The young woman came to him for treatment at 11 am on March 7. She alleged that Dr Tamboli touched her body intentionally on the pretext of giving an injection in her waist and checking her. The victim filed a complaint against him at the Kondhwa police station. The Kondhwa police registered an offence under section 354 of the IPC in the evening.
Later, Dr Tamboli lodged a complaint at the Kondhwa police station. He stated in his complaint that four persons came to his clinic at 6 pm on March 7. They asked him whether he was the doctor. They dragged him out to lane no. 20. They confined him to a room in the lane. Two of the accused tied his hands with a rope. They thrashed him with a leather belt, a wooden staff and iron rod. ‘You did not check this woman properly. You must apologise to her and will have to pay her, they said, and threatened to kill him. They snatched away his gold chain worth Rs 30,000 and Rs 6,000 cash.
The police registered a robbery. PSI Gapat is investigating the case.
