Case filed against 12 people for fighting over right to carry palanquin in Jambhulwadi

Pune : NpNews24 OnlinePune Crime | There was a clash between two groups of people over the right of carrying Bapuji Buva Devachi palanquin on their shoulders and both groups have filed cross complaints against each other. The Bharati Vidyapeeth police have filed a case against 12 people from both the groups. (Pune Crime)

 

Ajay Srihari Jambhale (28), a resident of Jambhulwadi, Ambegaon Khurd has lodged a complaint at the Bharati Vidyapeeth police station. Accordingly, the police have filed a case against Pappu alias Rohit Jambhale, Roshan Jambhale (28), Yogesh Balkrishna Jambhale (38), Pruthak Sampat Jambhale, Vishal Balkrishna Jambhale and Dheeraj Balkrishna Jambhale and arrested Dheeraj Jambhale.

 

According to the police, the complainant and the accused are relatives. The palanquin festival of Bapuji Buva Devachi was going to be held at 10.30 pm on May 7 in Jambhulwadi village. When the festival was going on, the accused did not allow Ajay to carry the palanquin on his shoulders and abused him. Yogesh Jambhale hit the complainant with a stone and injured him. Yogesh Jambhale threatened them by saying that they did not have the right to carry the palanquin over their shoulders and asked them to go away.

 

Pruthak Jambhale snatched the gold chain of five tolas from the complainant’s neck.

 

The police have registered a case of illegal gathering of a mob and disturbing peace. PSI Karche is probing the case.

 

Yogesh Balkrishna Jambhale (37), a resident of Jambhulwadi, has filed a complaint at the Bharati Vidyapeeth police station. The police have filed a case against Amol Srihari Jambhale, a resident of Ambegaon Khurd, Ajay Shrihari Jambhale, Adesh Pandurang Jambhale, Ajay Rajendra Jambhale, Kiran Bhagat and Ajijit Rajurkar.

 

According to the police, the accused and the complainant are relatives. The complainant and his nephew had an argument with the accused during the palanquin festival. The accused hit the complainant with a sharp weapon and snatched a gold chain of one tola and Rs 17,000 cash from his pocket.
