Man molests bank manager after befriending her on Bumble dating app

Pune : NpNews24 OnlinePune Crime | Incidents of women being molested after being befriended on dating apps have increased. A similar incident has happened in the limits of Wakad police station. A man befriended a girl on the Bumble dating app and lured her by saying that he will taker on a trip to Maldives and molested her. The police have filed an FIR against Mukesh Suryawanshi who used the nickname Maddie Surya on the app. The accused fleeced the girl of Rs 50,000. (Pune Crime)

 

A 28-year-old girl has filed a complaint at the Wakad police station on May 8 (Sunday). The incident took place from March 11, 2022 till March 26, 2022 at Rahatni in Pimpri Chinchwad. Based on the complaint, the police have filed a complaint against Mukesh Suryawanshi, a resident of Kalpataru Society, Kalyani Nagar.

 

According to the information given by PSI Rajesh Masal, the girl is working as a bank manager in Pimpri Chinchwad and hails from another state. The accused and the girl got acquainted on the Bumble app on March 11. The accused contacted her via messages and calls. The accused went to the girl’s house on March 13 and 14 and won her confidence and offered to take her to Maldives. He told her that the trip will cost Rs 95,000 and he assured her of spending Rs one lakh on the trip. He asked her to give Rs 50,000 of the Rs 95,000 expenditure. Hence, she gave him Rs 50,000 and a photocopy of the passport.

 

The accused, while speaking with the girl, indulged in obscene acts her and asked her to have sex with him.

The accused contacted her frequently. When the date of the proposed trip got over, she realised that she had been cheated. She was scared as she hails from another state. Finally, she lodged a complaint at the Wakad police station, said PSI Rajesh Masal.
