Pune : Pune Crime Accident News | In a stroke of luck, a potential catastrophe was averted when the steering rod of a minibus broke between Chandni Chowk and Ved Bhavan Pass, resulting in an accident around 7 o’clock on Friday morning. The minibus, carrying a total of nine passengers, lost control due to the steering malfunction.
Fortunately, only one individual sustained a minor injury to their hand, and no severe casualties were reported. Prompt action by a passing car driver, who witnessed the accident, ensured that the morning correspondent was immediately informed to seek assistance for the victims. The driver urged the police to notify relevant agencies about the incident, prompting a response from Police Inspector Sunil Jaitapurkar of the Warje Police Station and Constable Rakesh Kamble from the Warje Traffic Department.
The accident occurred on the route to Mumbai, a busy thoroughfare during morning hours as vehicles commute to both Mumbai and Hinjewadi. Consequently, traffic congestion quickly ensued as a result of the mishap.
The broken steering rod rendered the minibus immobile on the road, exacerbating the traffic situation. However, the dedicated employees from the Warje Transport Department promptly arrived at the scene to manage the flow of vehicles and ease congestion.
Officers and staff members from the Warje Police Station swiftly responded to the incident as well. They thoroughly assessed the situation and gathered information from eyewitnesses. The preliminary report indicates that there were nine individuals aboard the minibus, with one person sustaining a hand injury
